The Roosevelt High School Band Program welcomes all RHS students. One crucial role of the RHS Band Boosters is to ensure that all interested students can fully participate in all band activities, without finances being a barrier to participation. In order to provide such a quality program for our students, we depend on donations to purchase and maintain instruments, provide scholarships for Seattle Public School-sanctioned field trips, and offer extra coaching opportunities for our musicians. Roosevelt Band Boosters is a 501(c)(3) organization, Tax ID #94-3115171. Our goal is for every student to have the opportunity to fully participate in our program, regardless of financial need. 

Employee Matching
Does your company offer charitable gift matching? Lab fees and other donations are eligible for matching. Some companies even donate cash for the time their employees spend volunteering. If your company uses Benevity for charitable donations, we are listed as Roosevelt Band Booster Club. We have raised thousands of additional dollars through these generous programs, so please take advantage of them!

2024-25 Student Lab Fee

For those with a student in the program and who are willing and able, a student lab fee is suggested, to help fulfill the RHS Band mission of a vibrant, inclusive, and fun music program that is accessible to all students. This year’s fee of $150 is split between Schoolpay (curricular expenses) and Boosters (extracurricular expenses). Reach out to David Gross to request a scholarship.
  • Please pay $50 to the school using SchoolPay
  • Please pay $100 to Band Boosters via Zeffy or check (Band Room Mail)
The SchoolPay portion covers curricular items for Wind Band (sheet music, equipment, etc.). The Band Booster payment covers curricular and co-curricular expenses that cannot be paid through the school (such as coaches).
