Marching Band and Pep Band

Picture
The Rough Rider Marching Band motto is Music, Marching, and Madness!

The Rough Rider Marching Band performs at home football and basketball games and provides musical spirit to school assemblies. Historically, The Marching Band also performs and competes in regional parades in the Roosevelt Neighborhood, British Columbia, and Seattle’s own Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Marching and Pep Bands are not classes, but provide optional, additional playing opportunities to interested students. Students needn't sign up to be part of these programs, just show up ready to play!  For a schedule of Marching Band practices, click here.

"Music, Marching, and Madness!"

Membership is open to all students, whether they are enrolled in a band class or not. Practices take place after school during the fall football season and the spring parade season. The Pep Band plays at home basketball games in the Roosevelt High gym. Students are issued Pep Band jackets for games. Students participating in parades and playing at football and basketball games earn community service hours.
