November 23, 2018 - Macy's - Downtown Seattle Come celebrate the holiday season with the Roosevelt Rough Rider Marching Band at the annual Macy's Holiday Parade and Star Lighting Ceremony. The parade includes festive floats, costumed characters, local community groups, and your Rough Rider Band all followed by Santa.
The Macy's Holiday Parade commences at 9 AM on the corner of 7th Ave. and Pine St., and will travel West down Pine to 5th Ave., South on 5th to University St., West on University to 4th Ave. and then North on 4th before concluding at the front of Macy's Department Store at approximately 11 AM.

2019 Hyack International Parade
May 25, 2019 - New Westminster, BC Canada The 47th Annual International Parade is a great kick-off to our Spring Parade Season. Students will enjoy dinner in Vancouver after the parade, and head back across the border for an overnight at Camp Casey on Whidbey Island. Transportation is by Charter Bus and the return date is May 26th. This is not to be missed. Get your passports/birth certificates ready.
The estimated cost for this event is between $180 and $200. This includes Camp Casey, touring buses, ferry and snacks. Scholarship funds are available just fill out the form here.
This event requires a passport or green card for border crossing. Marching Band students/parents who cannot cross the border should talk to Mr. Brown or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange for an alternative transportation plan. We will help you!
Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade
June 8, 2019 - Portland, OR The Portland Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade is the second largest all-floral parade in North America and the single-largest spectator event in Oregon. More than 500,000 spectators line the 4.3 mile parade route which begins inside the Memorial Coliseum and continues through Downtown Portland. Bands are judged near the intersection of NE Martin Luther King Boulevard and NE Multnomah Street.
The estimated cost for this parade is between $50 and $60. This covers touring buses and a morning snack. Scholarship funds are available just fill out the form here.
2019 Neighborhood Parade
Saturday, June 15, 2019 - Roosevelt Neighborhood and Potluck
The Roosevelt Neighborhood Parade is our last parade of the season and includes a stop at Bartell Drug Store for a short performance. It's Mr. Brown's way of saying thank you to the neighborhood for letting us practice throughout the fall and spring. Students arrive at school in the morning for an all band photograph before marching through the neighborhood. After the band is dismissed a potluck is held in the Commons and surrounding courtyard. We encourage incoming Freshman to join us by walking behind the band and sharing in our potluck.
The parade will begin at 1:00 pm. Student report time is 11:30 am. Route Details are: Starts at NE 68th Street and 12th Avenue NE; West on 68th to Roosevelt Way NE; South on Roosevelt to NE 64th Street; Wast on 64th to 12th Avenue NE; turn into the parking lot of Roosevelt Square to play in front of Bartell’s; North on 12th to NE 69th Street; East on 69th to 15th Avenue NE; North on 15th to NE 70th Street; East on 70th to 20th Avenue NE; South on 20th to NE 68th Street; West on 68th to 15th Avenue NE; South on 15th to NE 66th Street; West on 66th to 12th Avenue NE; North on 12th into the Roosevelt High School parking lot;
Seattle Police will escort. Motorists can expect a rolling slowdown as the parade makes its way along streets in the Roosevelt district.
Potluck Details are: Woodwinds:Bring a salad or side to share. Percussion:Bring fruit or dessert. Brass: Bring a main dish to share.
Boosters will provide plates, napkins, forks and spoons and water.
