November 24, 2017 - Macy's - Downtown Seattle Come celebrate the holiday season with the Roosevelt Rough Rider Marching Band at the annual Macy's Holiday Parade and Star Lighting Ceremony. The parade includes festive floats, costumed characters, local community groups, and your Rough Rider Band all followed by Santa.
The Macy's Holiday Parade commences at 9 AM on the corner of 7th Ave. and Pine St., and will travel West down Pine to 5th Ave., South on 5th to University St., West on University to 4th Ave. and then North on 4th before concluding at the front of Macy's Department Store at approximately 11 AM.
May 26, 2018 - New Westminster, BC Canada The 46th Annual International Parade is a great kick-off to our Spring Parade Season. In 2016 the Rough Rider Marching Band performed flawlessly in a driving rain, and we cannot wait to get back and do it again this year in better weather. Students will enjoy dinner in Vancouver after the parade, and head back across the border for an overnight at Camp Casey on Whidbey Island. Transportation is by Charter Bus and the return date is May 27th. This is not to be missed. Get your passports/birth certificates ready.
June 9, 2018 - Portland, OR The Portland Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade is the second largest all-floral parade in North America and the single-largest spectator event in Oregon. More than 500,000 spectators line the 4.3 mile parade route which begins inside the Memorial Coliseum and continues through Downtown Portland. Bands are judged near the intersection of NE Martin Luther King Boulevard and NE Multnomah Street.
Roosevelt Neighborhood Parade and Picnic at Roosevelt
June TBD - Roosevelt Neighborhood The annual neighborhood parade begins with photographs by Rowland Studio. At 1:00 p.m. The band will march the Roosevelt Neighborhood and perform in the Roosevelt Square Parking Lot to thank neighbors and friends for their support throughout the year. After, a Potluck at Roosevelt High School for band families marks the end of another great year and the start of summer.
PARADE ROUTE: Starts at NE 68th St. and 12th Ave. N.E. West on NE 68th St. to Roosevelt Way N.E. South on Roosevelt Way N.E. to N.E. 64th St. East on N.E. 64th St. to 12th Ave. N.E. North on 12th Ave. N.E. to Roosevelt Square's parking lot. Short performance in front of Bartell's. North on 12th Ave. N.E. to to N.E. 69th St. East on N.E. 69th St. to 15th Ave. N.E. North on 15th Ave. N.E. to N.E. 70th St. East on N.E. 70th St. to 20th Ave. N.E. South on 20th Ave. N.E. to N.E. 68th St. West on N.E. 68th St. to 15th Ave. N.E. South on 15th Ave. N.E. to N.E. 66th St. West on N.E. 66th St. to 12th Ave. N.E. North on 12th Ave. N.E. and into the RHS parking lot.
The Seattle Police will provide escorts, and motorist can expect a rolling slowdown as the parade makes it way along the street in the Roosevelt District.
