Permission form

The Parade route will be in downtown Seattle along 4th Ave, between Pike St and Denny Way (step off will be at Westlake Park).

  • 8:00 – All students arrive at school for uniform distribution & truck loading.
    • WEAR: Rider Pride t-shirt if it has been distributed to you, plus shorts (uniform will go OVER t-shirt & shorts)
    • BRING: Instruments, TWO labeled water bottles, sunscreen, black socks, lunch or lunch money (for AFTER the parade/dismissal)

  • 9:00 – Truck departs RHS.

  • 9:00 – Bagel Brunch in the Band Room!

  • 10:00 or 10:45 – Students depart for light rail under chaperone supervision, in shifts.

  • 11:15 until ~1pm – The Roosevelt Rough Rider Marching Band in the PRIDE PARADE!
    • Our assigned Parade Staging location is 4th Avenue between Spring and Madison. We will step off when we are told to; estimated between 11:45 & 12 noon. Our estimation is that it will take us about an hour to move through the parade.

  • ~1:00 – All students return to the truck, now parked by Seattle Center.

  • ~2:00 – Dismissal or return to RHS.
Students with specific permission are dismissed in downtown Seattle to enjoy Pride Fest. All other students return to RHS via monorail & light rail under chaperone supervision.

  • ~3:00 – Unload truck @RHS; dismissal from RHS.
Students who return to RHS will collect their instruments and help unload the truck. They should have their own lunch to eat as soon as they return!
Students who are dismissed downtown must collect items left in the band room (instruments & water bottle #2) on Monday, 6/26.
