RHS bands have been selected by the University of Washington for a contract to help with cleanup of the stadium grounds after the home games. This is a great fundraiser that will bring the band program over $8,000 this year. However what this means is that RHS bands need to provide 25 people (parents, kids, family and friends) from 7:30am to about 9:30am on the Sunday after the game for each of the seven home games this season (the more volunteers, the faster the clean up goes).

The $1,200 we are paid after each game go directly to support cadet, symphonic, and marching bands - GO RIDERS! Also students who participate will get community service hours.

- We meet at 7:30 am at parking lot E-1 (the big one on 25th). look for the cluster of white UW trucks close to the Rec Center, have donuts and go over the morning's plan.
- The duties are to divide into small groups, put on gloves and kick or pick trash out of weird places and move garbage cans around so that the official street sweeper machines can collect everything for cleanup.
- Volunteers can keep any treasures you find including BBQ's, chairs, unopened beer cans, Tiki torches, ponchos, etc!!!
